Kristen's Ride 2011

It is with a very heavy heart I would like to inform everyone that we will not be having Kristen's Ride this year.
My mother, Barbara A Lizotte passed away on July 18, 2011 from cancer. It has been a very difficult year for all of us. The last few months have taken a physical and mental toll on our entire family. Frank and I decided to focus on our children and the loss of their Mammy. I believe in what we do more than anything I have ever been a part of but I am trying to put the needs of my family first.
Many have contacted me, still wanting to donate to our ride. I will be collecting donations to the ride and be presenting them to Dana Farber in memory of my mom. She had a very rare and aggressive form of vulva cancer and her fight has solidified my commitment to raising money for the research needed to cure this devastating disease.
The light at the end of our very dark tunnel, is that Kristen is doing wonderful. She just had a scan last month and remains tumor free. She will start pre-kindergarten this fall. Yesterday she even told our friends that Mammy was going to be in school with her on her shoulder because we told all our kids that Mammy would forever be an angel on their shoulder. It's amazing how wise she can be at only four years old.
